The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to accelerating Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda under the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.
Inuwa, who led his management team on a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Adeladan Rafiu Olarine, CIPSM, used the opportunity to outline NITDA’s flagship initiatives and landmark achievements.
At the centre of his briefing was the Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative, a nationwide programme designed to equip every Nigerian with essential digital skills to thrive in today’s knowledge-driven economy. According to him, DL4ALL is pivotal to bridging the digital divide, fostering inclusive growth, and creating opportunities across communities.
He also highlighted NITDA’s strategic strides in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, cloud sovereignty, performance management systems, and tailored digital skills programmes for various sectors of the economy.
“These efforts reflect our broader mandate to build a robust digital economy in alignment with the Ministry’s policy priorities and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Inuwa stated.
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olarine, commended NITDA’s contributions and pledged the Ministry’s full support in strengthening synergy to deliver on Nigeria’s digital transformation vision.
