In a bid to strengthen the implementation of its flagship Digital Literacy for All Initiative (DL4ALL), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is set to collaborate with the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) to establish a National Digital Literacy Standard.
The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, received the President and CEO of DBI, David Daser, at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja, where discussions centred on aligning the initiative with the National Digital Literacy Framework (NDLF).
The proposed standard will provide Nigerians with equitable access to standardised digital learning content, enabling citizens to build essential digital skills and earn nationally recognised certifications across three levels of proficiency—basic, intermediate, and advanced.
According to NITDA, the framework will harmonise and standardise digital literacy programmes currently delivered by multiple stakeholders across the country, ensuring a cohesive, impactful, and inclusive approach to digital skills development.
This collaboration underscores the Agency’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and empowering citizens to thrive in Nigeria’s evolving digital economy, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
