NN MILITARY SCHOOL GOVERNING BOARD ENGAGES IN STRATEGIC REVIEW OF SCHOOL PROGRESS

Determined to enhance a robust academic progress, the 8th Governing Board of the Nigerian Navy School, Ikot-Ntuen has met with a view to serving as a strategic platform to review the school’s progress, address operational and administrative matters.

The Governing Board meeting of the Nigerian Navy Military School (NNMS), Ikot-Ntuen, Akwa Ibom State, held on Thursday, 14th August 2025, and was presided over by the Chief of Administration (COA), Rear Admiral Gabriel Martins Aligwe.

Besides, they deliberated on measures to enhance academic and military training standards.

Also, it was learnt that discussions focused on key areas such as curriculum development, infrastructural upgrades, personnel welfare, and the integration of modern training facilities to meet global standards in military education.

The COA was accompanied by the Navy Secretary, Rear Admiral Olusola Kolawole Oluwagbire, the Chief of Accounts and Budget, Rear Admiral Omolola Olutayo Olukoya, alongside other senior officers from Naval Headquarters.

Following the meeting, the COA undertook a comprehensive inspection of the school’s facilities, including classrooms, dormitories, training grounds, and support infrastructure.

The on-the-ground assessment provided an opportunity to have a clearer understanding of the issues presented during the session, while enabling direct interaction with staff and students.
