The Civil Defence Public Relations Officer of Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Deputy Superintendent of Corps, Oluwaseun Abolurin, has said, “The youths are catalysts of positive change in all great nations of the world, therefore, our teeming youths should channel their energy, talents, and skills towards the multi-sectorial growth and development of our dear nation, Nigeria.”
DSC Abolurin, while delivering a lecture, on “The role of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure of governments at all levels in the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” challenged the youths of the nation to own their country’s national assets and see them as being critical indeed. With this mentality, he posited that vandalism and needless destruction of assets and infrastructure will be a thing of the past in our country.
He said, amongst other areas of national importance is to the economic prosperity, of our dear nation, adding that “The youths are catalysts of positive change in all great nations of the world, therefore, our teeming youths should channel their energy, talents and skills towards the multi-sectorial growth and development of our dear nation, Nigeria, and not vandalism of oil pipelines, power installations, oil theft and other illegal sharp practices and unscrupulous activities that usually, sabotaged government efforts across all levels.”
