…AS ABOLURIN WARNS YOUTHS AGAINST ABUSE OF SUBSTANCES
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, commended his Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Corps Abolurin Oluwaseun, on his new award, from the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Chapel, on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Alfadarai also applauded NUJ for recognizing the command’s efforts in fulfilling the Corps’ mandate and called on the media for more robust collaboration and patriotism in ensuring adequate security in the state.
The Civil Defence Lagos PRO also delivered, a lecture on the theme, ‘Abuse of Drugs and Nigerian Youths; Effects and Way Forward,’ at the just concluded, press week of the aforementioned organization packaged, to add the media’s voice against the abuse of substances in the nation and to commemorate this year’s independence day anniversary.
Present at the event were the representative of the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig., General Buba Marwa (rtd), HRM Oba Alayeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi Kunsela III, who was ably represented, the Police PRO Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin; Federal Road Safety Corps’ Spokesperson Supritendent Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi and the representative of Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps, media organizations, young adults, undergraduates and school children and many others.
