The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties Joint Projects in Abia State, Deaconess Franca Ekwueme, has described the philanthropic gestures of the Each One Aid One Foundation (EOAOF), founded by Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, as both a destiny helper and solution provider.
This is coming as the Each One Aid One Foundation has commenced the distribution of food items to Civil Servants in Abia State especially those of the lower grade levels 1 to 6.
Speaking while receiving the items, Deaconess Ekwueme, who noted that Each One Aid One is not a new name in the philanthropic books of Abia State described the name Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor as a household name in Nigeria.
According to her, Nwafor has shown that wealth is not all about what you have nor that of ego which glories in showcasing what one has got but a lesson to each and every one of us that philanthropy is to help people to help others.
The Permanent Secretary, who said that the gift came at the best of times as it would reduce the burden of celebrating Easter on the junior workers, thanked the Foundation for such a show of love.
“I want to thank him so much and the Each One Aid One Foundation, for all you have been doing in Abia State nay this Easter. We cannot thank you enough; we can only pray to God to bless you the more. We’re saying thank you, God will surely bless you. Our Ministry will include your name on our prayer list so that every day at the morning when we pray, we will be praying for you,” she asserted.
Earlier while presenting the items on behalf of the Founder, Each One Aid One Foundation, Mr. Smith disclosed that Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor thought it is worthwhile to give out to enable Civil Servants in Abia State especially the junior workers to celebrate Easter with their loved ones.
Mr. Smith who described Engr. Nwafor as a unique person who he said has made ‘giving’ a part of his culture.
He said Each One Aid One Foundation has always been in the business of giving, recalling that the Foundation had distributed similar items to Civil Servants in the 17 Local Government Areas during the last year’s Christmas.
He called on the Ministries in Abia State to ensure equitable distribution of the items to those it is targeted at – the low-income earners in the Service comprising those in levels 1-6.
However, the distribution items covered the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Special Duties and Joint Projects, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry for Budget & Planning while each Ministry received ten bags of Rice, ten cartons of tin tomatoes, gallons of ground oil, a bag of stockfish, bags of onions, salt, a cow among other items.
