The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed has said his administration would leave no stone unturned in deepening the impact of the Ventures Management Department towards training Corps Members on self-reliance and wealth creation.
He also said his administration would continue to reward hard work as one of the pathways for enhanced productivity.
He disclosed this today in Abuja while opening the NYSC Ventures Managers Workshop, with the theme; “Enhancing the Skills of Managers for Effective NYSC Ventures Management”.
General Ahmed whose address was read at the occasion by the Director, Ventures Management Department, Prince Mohammed Momoh stated that the Managers of the Scheme is committed to improving on the success recorded by the different NYSC venture outlets across the country in recent years.
“I have also received very encouraging reports on the production activities of the ventures this year”, General Ahmed said.
The Director General while commending the NYSC Ventures Managers also urged them to sustain the tempo so that the trajectory of improvements will transform into greater success at the end of the year.
The Director, Ventures Management Department, Prince Mohammed Momoh, who was represented by the Deputy Director, Factory and Services, Dr. Megida Regina said the training workshop is an opportunity for learning and experience sharing aimed at reinvigorating the Scheme’s operations in order to achieve the targets set out for year 2023.
Momoh said Ventures Management department has continued striving for excellence and churning out impressive results in its operations in recent years.
He added that effective management is the bedrock of the sustainability and profitability of any business enterprise.
