The Ogun State Police Command has decorated 18 senior officers recently promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s policy on professionalism, motivation and reward for excellence.

The decoration ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Abeokuta, was marked by joy and appreciation from the promoted officers, their families and colleagues, as they celebrated the new milestone in their careers.

Among the newly promoted officers were CSP Olorundare Bolanle, Divisional Traffic Officer, Agbado, who is the most senior among the promotees and delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of her colleagues; CSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Officer-in-Charge of General Investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran; and CSP Kamorudeen Olabisi, Divisional Police Officer, Ifo Division.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, congratulated the officers on their promotion and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.

He admonished the newly promoted CSPs to demonstrate greater diligence, discipline and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, stressing that elevation in rank comes with increased responsibility and accountability.

The Commissioner expressed confidence that the officers would continue to contribute meaningfully to the safety and security of lives and property across Ogun State.

The event reflected a shared sense of pride and accomplishment, as the Command celebrated the officers’ dedication, steadfast service and commitment to the Nigeria Police Force and the nation.
