…AS CP HONOURED WITH A STRATEGIC CRIME FIGHTER AWARD

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD on Monday, April 28, 2025, led a security patrol of Operation Udo Ga Chi – Zero Kidnapping: a reflection of the Police Command strategy to enhance safety in the State.

CP Orutugu during the patrol stopped by at 3-3 in Nkwelle Ezunaka Community. He interacted with stakeholders comprising different Chairmen of the Estates, Private Security Operatives and other respected residents in the area to enhance greater cooperation for more effective policing in the area.

The CP is prioritizing community safety and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve lasting peace especially the Police-led Operation Udo Ga Chi – Zero Kidnapping which means: “Peace must Reign,” through increased security presence to deter crimes and reassure the public.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the stakeholders in recognizing the Command’s efforts at enhancing security and fighting crime, especially reflecting on the CP’s value to the community engagement in Policing, recognized him with the award of a Strategic Crime Fighter.

In his response, CP Orutugu appreciated the community and assured them of improved policing service delivery that is people-friendly.

He, thereafter, dedicated the award to victims of Police unprofessional conduct in the State.
