
In a desperate move to install peace in Taraba State and extricate criminal activities, troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, have successfully carried out a cordon and search operation at Ikyaior village in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The operation which followed as a result of credible intelligence revealed that one Mr. Terhemen Nzagha, aka “Full Fire,” was allegedly harbouring suspected armed criminals at Sabon-Gida Leke, Ikyaior village, along the Benue–Taraba border.

The operation which took place on 6th September 2025, the troops couldn’t find any suspect after a thorough search of the area but recovered five Special Forces face caps, three AK-47 magazines, three FN rifle magazines, three rifle slings.
Other items include: two FN rifle breech blocks and slides, one AK-47 firing mechanism, two FN rifle stocks, two FN rifle springs, one mini-telescopic sight, one AK-47 rifle butt, one FN rifle bag, one badminton bag, two charms and one flashlight
The Commander, 6 Brigade Nigerian Army / Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the troops for their swift response, high sense of professionalism, and commitment to duty.

He further reassured the good people of Taraba State that the Brigade will remain vigilant, proactive, and resolute in sustaining ongoing operations aimed at ridding the State of criminal elements.
General Uwa also called on members of the public to continue to support security agencies with credible and timely information, stressing that such collaboration remains vital in consolidating peace and security across Taraba State and its environs.
