…AS POLICE FOILS BANDITS ATTACK ON KATSINA

Bandits that rode on over 40 motorcycles and raided villages in Safana, Kurfi and Dutsinma Local Government Areas of Katsina state were repelled by the police in Katsina state.
The raid took place on August 7, 2021, between the hours of 1700hrs to 2000hrs. Also, over 300 rustled cows, sheep and goats.
A combined team of Policemen and vigilante groups were mobilized who blocked the hoodlums at their exit route into the forest between Dagarawa to Tsaskiya cattle route and engaged them in fierce gun dual leading to the recovery of all the rustled animals.
The Katsina State Police spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah who disclosed the development said that many bandits were suspected to have fled with bullet wounds as search parties are still combing the area with a view to arresting the fleeing bandits or to recover their dead bodies and their operational weapon.
