The Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Area Command, Comptroller Gambo Aliyu, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), describing cooperation among security agencies as vital to national security and public safety.

According to a statement issued on Monday, September 29, 2025, by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Akintola Abdulmalik, Comptroller Aliyu paid courtesy visits to the DSS and FRSC offices in Ibadan alongside his management team.

At the DSS office, the Customs chief was received by the State Director, Rahim Adelakun, whom he commended for the agency’s relentless efforts in safeguarding lives, property, and socio-economic stability.

During his visit to the FRSC headquarters, Aliyu was welcomed by the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Rosemary Alo. He praised the Corps’ consistency in road safety enforcement and public enlightenment, noting that its campaigns had helped reduce accidents in Oyo State.

“No government agency can function effectively in isolation. We must continue to support one another because inter-agency synergy is the foundation of national progress,” Aliyu stated.

In response, both DSS and FRSC leadership assured the Customs chief of their readiness to deepen cooperation with the Nigeria Customs Service in pursuit of shared national objectives.
