The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Mr CC Ayeni has said that he has been able to demystified vandals and subsequently reduced pipeline vandalism maximally and drastically since he assumed duty at the Lagos State Command.
He observed that the feat was made possible due to the magical strategy coupled with “intense intelligence gathering and 24/7 monitoring of critical national assets and infrastructure at Federal, State and Local government levels.
He revealed thos while playing host to the Director, Ministry of Special Services, Lagos State, Mr M. Akinrinade and some members of his team, in his office at Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.
While appreciating the NSCDC Commandant for his noblest achievements, the Director Ministry of Special Services Lagos State, Mr Akinrinade lauded his good work, and ensuring that the security and safety of lives and property in Lagos state were protected.
Describing him as a “rare breed amongst the top senior officers in the corps,” affirmed that his meticulous and intelligent style of leadership in the command is exemplary.
Emphasising on his mission to NSCDC, the Director opined that they came further reiterate the position of the ministry to increase their support, for the Lagos State Command with all the needed machineries that would enable them deliver on its mandate in Lagos State.
The Commandant Ayeni observed that there was no better time for the visit considering that the command is in dare need of government support than ever.
The visit was witnessed by senior officers including the Deputy Commandant, Paul Oladapo Shomide (Head of Administration Department), Deputy Commandant Margaret Nkechi Jayeola, (Head of Department Anti – Corruption and and Transparency Monitoring Unit), Mr Atolagbe Mohammed (SA to Commandant), Superintendent of Corps Godonu Jacob (Officer – in – Charge of State House) and Assistant Superintendent of Corps Abolurin Oluwaseun Olumide (Public Relations Officer).
Commandant Ayeni later presented a gift to the Director, in honour of his visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Lagos State Command.
