POLICE ACADEMY HOSTS PSC CHAIRMAN, DIG HASHIMU ARGUNGU RTD

POLICE ACADEMY HOSTS PSC CHAIRMAN 3

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, hosted the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd.), on Thursday, as part of his oversight of the ongoing 12th Regular Course Screening Exercise.

The PSC Chairman was received by the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, MSc (UK), MBA (USA), psc, along with members of the screening board and other senior officials.

In his remarks, DIG Argungu (Rtd.) expressed deep satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing screening exercise, describing the process as transparent, fair, and merit-driven. He commended the Academy’s leadership for ensuring that all stakeholders were effectively engaged and encouraged the team to sustain the high standard already established.

He further emphasized the importance of accountability and integrity in the selection process, urging all stakeholders to allow whistleblowers to perform their duties without fear or hindrance.

As part of his visit, the PSC Chairman presented a set of relevant books to members of the screening board, highlighting the value of continuous learning and intellectual preparedness in an evolving global environment. He charged the officials to remain committed, knowledgeable, and adaptable in the discharge of their duties.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, DSP Musa Isah Umar, the Commandant, AIG Atayero, expressed appreciation to the PSC Chairman for his visit and reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to upholding the principles of fairness, professionalism, and excellence in the training and selection of future police officers.
