The Katsina State Police Command has arrested one Ibrahim Lawal, alias ‘ABBA KALA’, a male and aged 23 years old from Fegi Quarters, Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State. He is a notorious thief; an ex-convict and a habitual criminal, who specializes in house burglary as well as a specialist in stealing motorcycles.
It was gathered that the suspect was nabbed on April 22, 2021, at about 07:00hrs, based on a tip-off. Nemesis caught up with Lawal after he had trespassed and sneaked into the house of one Kamalu Ibrahim, ‘M’, aged 33 years of Shagari Low cost, Daura, before breaking into his motor vehicle, BMW 3 Series, with registration number: JW 01 DRA and stole 273 handsets valued N15,000,000.00.
In the course of the investigation, SP Gambo Isah, police spokesperson in Katsina Command revealed that all the stolen 273 GSM handsets were recovered in his possession during the police search.
The suspect has confessed to the commission of the offence and would be arraigned in court immediately investigation is completed.
