The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, met with the newly appointed Service Chiefs in a close-door meeting.
The new Service Chiefs used the opportunity to formally express their loyalty and readiness to implement the President’s vision for a secure, stable, and prosperous nation.

Present at the meeting included the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt Gen Olufemi Oluyede; the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Waidi Shaibu; Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Idi Abbas; Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke and the Chief of Defence Intelligence (DIA), Major General E.A.P. Undiendeye.
However, as part of his official engagements, the CAS, Air Vice Marshal Aneke paid a visit to the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
He commended General Musa for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and invaluable contributions to national security.
Assuring that under his command, the Nigerian Air Force will build upon the solid foundations and enduring legacies established by his predecessors, AVM Aneke reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and defending the nation’s sovereignty.
