It is exceptionally balanced to insist that Abia State is transiting to the former Acting Rector and Vice Chancellor of Abia State University Uturu, Professor Uche Eleazer Ikonne, also known by the sobriquet PUI.
The teacher par excellent, without doubt, is going to steer the affairs of the state from May 29, 2023, as ordained by God through the votes of Ndi Abian and residents of Abia State.
Little wonder that the depleted and confused opposition is jittery and casting aspersions on the chosen one. Yet, what is written is written. What will be, must surely be, to the glory of God?
Ikonne is a seasoned administrator. He is poised and ready to serve Abia State with dexterity and commitment. He is not given to frivolities. As a man who believes in better or greater tomorrow, Ikonne will consolidate on the solid foundation laid by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu with the new ” Abia Master Plan”, the first of its kind in Abia’s 31 years of existence, and deepen on the template provided for rapid and massive development of Abia both in the urban and rural communities across the 17 LGAs.
Ikonne is going to match his words with action as he is going for an all-inclusive governance code-named ” Participatory Governance ” that will provide the enablers for all Abia residents to not just be in governance but accommodate all and sundry yet, provide the necessary tools for feedback mechanisms where citizenry will not just participate but ask questions on the usage of our commonwealth. He will not differentiate between Abia North, Central, or South. Ukwa la Ngwa or Bende has and will be missing in his lexicon. To him, Abia is Abia – nothing more, nothing less!
The former vice Chancellor who is known for his penchant for causing positive revolutionary projections has declared he would replicate his wonderful feats while he was the vice chancellor of Abia State University to the larger Abia State.
Let us support this lofty dream of Ikonne for Abia governor in 2023. The PDP umbrella is more than enough to accommodate all of us for the greater glory of God’s Own State.
