In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership and consolidate its brand identity, Miliki 101.3 FM has appointed veteran broadcaster, media entrepreneur, and publisher of The Press Nigeria (thepressngr.com), Mr. Faleye Oluwatosin Simon, as its new General Manager.

The announcement was welcomed within the media industry with excitement, as Mr. Faleye brings with him over 15 years of progressive experience spanning journalism, broadcasting, brand development, and content management.

Mr. Faleye’s career trajectory reflects a unique blend of versatility and innovation. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of The Press Nigeria, one of the fast-rising platforms shaping digital journalism in the country. Prior to this, he was Editor/Manager at The Page News, News Reporter with Silverbird Television (covering government activities across Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Kogi States), Cameraman at Ovation TV, and Producer at St. Martins Media.

His portfolio also includes impactful stints as a scriptwriter in the Nigerian film industry, content aggregator for Boomplay, brand consultant for Wema Bank Plc, and talent manager for top Nigerian artistes such as Lanre Teriba (Atorise), Mike Abdul, and Wasiu Haruna-Ishola.

Beyond his impressive résumé, Mr. Faleye is not a stranger to Miliki 101.3 FM. In fact, he played an instrumental role in shaping the station’s identity and programming from its formative stages.

He conceived the name Miliki 101.3 FM, anchoring it in a cultural resonance that has since defined the station’s appeal.

He curated and introduced flagship shows like Ojumo Re, which remain central to the station’s programming schedule.

He contributed nearly half of the station’s music library from his personal collection, ensuring rich and diverse content for listeners.

He arranged the station’s iconic jingles and idents, voiced by top gospel and fuji artistes including Lanre Teriba (Atorise), Mike Abdul, Yinka Best, Abel Dosunmu (Mega 99), and others.

He has consistently supported the daily production of Ojumo Re, supplying national newspaper headlines, arranging exclusive interviews, and securing appearances from high-profile personalities including Chief Bode George, Omoyele Sowore, Femi Adesina, state commissioners, ASUU leaders, NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, FRSC officials, and Amotekun commanders.

Industry stakeholders describe Mr. Faleye’s appointment as both timely and visionary, given his dual strengths in traditional broadcasting and digital media innovation. His deep understanding of programming, coupled with his proven ability to build brands and attract high-level engagements, is expected to further cement Miliki 101.3 FM as a leading voice in Nigeria’s media landscape.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Faleye expressed gratitude and a renewed sense of mission:

“Miliki 101.3 FM is more than a radio station—it is a movement of voices, culture, and ideas. My vision is to build on its strong foundation, deepen audience connection, and expand our reach across Nigeria and beyond. I am excited to serve in this capacity and work with the dedicated team to deliver excellence in broadcasting.”

With Mr. Faleye Oluwatosin Simon now at the helm as General Manager, Miliki 101.3 FM is poised to enter a new phase of growth and innovation. Observers predict expanded programming, strengthened advertiser confidence, and greater audience engagement under his leadership.

For a man whose journey has consistently combined creativity, resilience, and strategic insight, this appointment represents not just a personal milestone, but also a turning point for Miliki 101.3 FM.
