In what seems to be a no-hold-bound WrestleMania, the former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has challenged the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Tukur Buratai to a physical combat.
Although the venue of the proposed fight was not stated, Omokri had in his Twitter handle @renoomokri, wants to avenge the killing of unarmed protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020.
Describing Buratai as “spineless coward,” Omokri boasted that, “My greatest desire in November is to be in a room with General Buratai. No weapons. No referee. Man to man combat.
“Only one man coming out alive; Let God use me to avenge the cowardly slaughter of peaceful, unarmed, #EndSARS protesters at #LekkiMassacre by that spineless coward!”
Since the tweet went viral early Sunday morning, it has elicited a lot of comments and condemnation on social media.
A Facebook commentator advised Reno Omokri to look for another place to die rather than challenge the army chief to a one-on-one fight that would have no referee.
“Reno, abeg look for another place wey you go die. You think say e pick that thing wey e hang for shoulder? This social media self.”
