Senior Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, Onyendi Victor Kelechi, has denied social media reports that his principal has been sacked from the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the story as a figment of the author’s imagination.
He said that in the world of reality, nobody can sack the Senator from the APC.
In a statement on Tuesday, Kelechi said the reports are misleading and an “unknown”, unfamiliar junk media platform.
According to him, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu is still available in the APC adding that she is a bonafide member of the Party and even not dreaming of any defection.
He said she had no agenda of leaving the party stressing that anyone nursing such a notion is suffering from dementia and schizophrenia.
According to him, such a person is suffering the figment of his own imagination.
“We have received a misleading headline purportedly from an unknown and unfamiliar junk media platform named Abia City blog, which can bend on publishing a misleading news headline without proper investigation and research.
“While we don’t want to dignify the backyard media man we need to clarify the issues on the ground and set the records straight for the avoidance of doubt.
“Senator Nkechi Nwaogu has never left the APC, she is a bonafide member of the Party and is not nursing any defection agenda and anyone that is nursing such a mirage is suffering from dementia and schizophrenia and a figment of his own imagination in the world of reality.” The statement said.
“Although the factional Abia APC under Ikechi Emenike has decided to sideline Umunneator Ngwa by giving both the Senatorial and Gubernatorial ticket to Umuahia, Sen. Nkechi Nwaogu has not thought about defecting to any party but has condemned in totality the marginalization of Umunneator Ngwa under FACTIONAL Gubernatorial Candidate, Ikechi Emenike.
“On the issue of 2023 Gubernatorial Election, Sen. Nwaogu will only advise Abians to vote credible and transparent Candidates who will position Abia to become a state of our desire.
“Nonsense!! Nobody can push Sen Nkechi Nwaogu out of APC. Anyone thinking that she can quit our party is hallucinating. She will be the one to chase them out of APC because they have nothing to offer. We shall see who will laugh last.”
