The Founder and Convener of the United Breeds Foundation, Comrade Anthony Abakporo has urged Nigerians, most especially the youths to desist from indulging in taking hard drugs and other harmful narcotic substances.
Abakporo, who has been at the forefront of the campaign against the use of hard drugs with a focus on how to rescue those already addicted, spoke yesterday at Festac Town in Lagos shortly after he was honoured with the Ambassadorial Leadership Award by the management of Nigeria Peace Magazine with corporate headquarters in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
A core humanitarian, Anthony Abakporo was named as the 5th most influential person in Amuwo -Odofin Local government area of Lagos State where he has been combing all nooks and crannies to rescue drug addicts, rehabilitate and later empower them so that they won’t go back to their old life.
However, the United Breed Foundation will next Sunday be empowering another batch of individuals who were rescued from hard drugs then later engaged in different trade and skills and are now fully qualified to go and exhibit their various skills in society.
The event is expected to kick off by 4 pm on Sunday at the United Breeds Foundation Office Festac Town.
Abakporo, who also owns a laundry outfit was born in Lagos into a Christian family from Imo State. His last anti-drugs campaign in Lagos which was widely broadcast brought stakeholders from all walks of life to find ways at addressing issues of drug abuse menace in the country.
