As preparations for the 13th Edition of the Pan African Leadership Symposium and Honours (PALESH Kigali 2024), draw closer, the Sierra Leone High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, His Excellency, Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, is to deliver a keynote address as a panelist.
Dr Manyeh will be speaking on the Topic: “The Future of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Africa: A Panacea for Sustainable Peacebuilding.”
The symposium will hold from the 6th – 9th March 2024 at Park Inn By Radisson, Kigali, Rwanda.
Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, is the High Commissioner for Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with accreditation as a non-resident Ambassador to six other countries.
Before his current appointment, he was Sierra Leone’s Minister of Mines and Marine Resources.
In an earlier life, Dr. Manyeh served as a university don for more than 30 years at the University of Sierra Leone, Njala University and as a visiting Professor, University of Alberta, Canada.
During this period, Dr. Manyeh served with distinction as a member of the Senate and Court, University of Sierra Leone, Member, Board of Trustees, the West African Examinations Council, Member of the Board of the Bank Sierra Leone; and Host, National Television, for the National Commission for Democracy.
He also served as a consultant to various National and International Institutions including the African Development Bank, the World Bank, and the United Nations. His focus as an academic was in the area of communication skills and language use and usage in socio-political discourse.
Dr. Manyeh is well known in Sierra Leonean political circles as a man of Peace and tranquility. His lifelong commitment to societal harmony and peaceful coexistence is generally regarded as a personal trademark.
In April 2022, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) recognised him as an “Ambassador for Peace.”
At PALESH Kigali 2024, he will be honoured along with other African Leaders for his Excellence in Leadership & Outstanding Diplomat in Nation Building and Economic Cooperation and will also be Inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (CIPG), USA.
The PAN African Leadership Symposium & Honours (PALESH), is a confluence of ideas, a gathering of minds, and a celebration of leadership that seeks to make a tangible difference in Africa.
It will serve as an enlightening experience for all attendees, contributing to the growth of informed leaders who are equipped to lead Africa towards a more peaceful and prosperous future.
In addition to the educational component, the symposium also includes the Leadership Excellence & Doctoral Fellowship Award. This prestigious accolade conferred by the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (CIPG) from Texas, USA is a testament to the commitment and exceptional contributions of individuals in the field of Peace and Governance.
According to the Global President and Chairman of Supreme Council United International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC) Texas USA, Ambassador Dr Jonathan Ojadah further reiterated the involvement of Highstone International University from California USA, signifies the global importance of the symposium and its recognition beyond the African continent.
The international dimension underscores the universal relevance of the topics discussed and the shared global interest in fostering leadership that can navigate the complexities of peace and conflict.
