Today, Sunday, 8th December 2024, the church auditorium at the Headquarters, Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Ikotun-Egbe, was filled to capacity.
The overflow was massively congested by congregants who had thrung in to mark the Thanksgiving Service officiated by Pastor Evelyn Joshua.
It was all smiles, dance and rejoicing as the members sang to the glorification and adoration to God for his faithfulness, mercies and protection over their lives all year round despite the galloping economic crunch.
With visitors from all walks of life across the globe, the service was an excellent testimony to the flurries of the manifestation of God in the church and in the lives of the families.
Designed to celebrate God’s faithfulness, the thanksgiving service attracted a global audience who expressed gratitude to God.
The Bible reading which was taken from the book of Psalms Chapter 105 v 1-8 was read by Pastor Luke Chivasa which clearly stated in part: “Remember the marvelous works that God has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth.”
As the church rolled out drums in ecclesiastical soul-inspiring songs and praises led by Guest Artist: Henry Praise expressed gratitude to God for leading the church through turbulent times, especially during the Covid-19 era.
In her very brief sermon, Pastor Evelyn Joshua thanked God for keeping the church of God together as one; stronger and forging ahead despite huge challenges.
While outlining areas God has intervened in their lives and the body of the church, Pastor Evelyn and Joshua noted that on March 2024, Emmanuel TV turned 18 years old. Through it, people have received deliverance.
In August, she further explained, they had the inaugural youth convention, where over 3000 youths participated; a foundation from TB Joshua. While in September, Women of Grace had a meeting that brought thousands of women together in unity.
Therefore, there is every reason to give thanks to God for everything that he has done. Thank you, Lord, Pastor Evelyn Joshua reiterated.
