
The recent meeting between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Google CEO Sundar Pichai in Paris has set the stage for a new era of digital innovation in Nigeria, with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Google deepening collaboration to accelerate the country’s digital transformation.
As part of this engagement, NITDA, in partnership with Google and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), hosted a two-day workshop focused on advancing cybersecurity cooperation.
The workshop examined strategic areas of collaboration to strengthen Nigeria’s cybersecurity ecosystem, enhance digital trust, and build resilience across sectors. Stakeholders agreed that boosting cybersecurity capacity is critical to safeguarding Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy and ensuring sustainable growth.
