…Fetes Staffs, Consultants
By Okosun Dennis
When your boss says: “thank you” for being an invaluable staff; it brings joy and a high sense of fulfillment.
Over the weekend, the Managing Director of Topaz Gardens Limited and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Millencoast Properties Limited gathered staffers and consultants to say “welldone.”
He hosted them at their expansive, cosy office located at Michael and Solomon Plaza, Ajiwe- Ajah during an End of the Year party.
Mr. Murphy Adebare, Managing Director, Topaz Gardens in his remarks, cautioned investors into properties to always ask for genuine documents and histories of the land before committing their money in order to avoid acquiring illegal property.
“Don’t buy any property without genuine papers, government excision and good history, because such history gives you details about it.”
Murphy explained that the most challenging phenomenon in real estate business is capital. If you don’t have good money, starting a real estate business would be laborious.
“Unfortunately, the government is not doing well in terms of supporting real estate companies. Instead of appreciating private developers, they are resorting to brigandage, grabbing and intimidating land owners which they had acquired legitimately,” he observed.
Adding that it is their desires to ensure that low income earners could get affordable housing scheme, Murphy reiterated that they were intensifying efforts to provide more low cost housing units better than they had done in the past.
“Our intention is to, on a large scale provide low housing estate for the commoners. At Topaz Gardens, we have been doing that but wish to make it more robust, affordable and accessible to a larger number of civil servants.
The Chairman of the occasion, Otunba Tokunbo Olayinton expressed joy and satisfaction with the company for blazing the train in real estate business.
While given brief nuggets on how to develop sales mindset in real estate in 2021 and other businesses, the Chief Executive officer, FOAM Realties Limited, Andy Chukwu, noted that the year has been quite turbulent that almost brought everyone to its edge.
However, in his words of encouragement especially to the consultants and sales representatives, he said they should assume the position of a parent who have one thing or the other to sell at home especially while dealing with the children.
For you to maximize sales, he said, “you must stay hungry because if you are not hungry, you wouldn’t be motivated to sell. Therefore, you must be driven and motivated.
He enjoined them not to compromise their integrity but must stay positive and get prepared, noting that being innovative and resourceful are essential ingredients to stay successful in any business enterprise.
While emphasising on those attributes that could galvanise good sales and earn customers appreciation, Andy admonished consultants and others in business to be “Mindful of your reputation.
“You can’t buy reputation but you earn it. As you go into 2021, be mindful of what you post in your social media platforms. Be real, original and use your real name. Do not give room for people to doubt you; be consistent and reliable.
“Be genuine and real. Avoid fake names and identity. You put your best food forward because you may not have the opportunity to change the narratives. However, dress moderately and don’t do things out of proportion, Andy reiterated.
Topaz Gardens with the Core value of “Service plus,” recognises the contributions of staffers that have made the company stand tall despite competing economic hiatus as the MD honoured outstanding staffs with plots of land, other gift items, cash and plaque.
