…as four others for stealing N185,000 iPhone

Two teachers identified as Hassan Bilyaminu, 25, and Abdullahi Bilyaminu, 23, both of Tsangayan Mallam Bilya, Tudun Natsira Maitumbi in Niger state have been arrested for sexuality assaulting four students.
Confirming the arrest of the suspects and four others for criminal conspiracy and theft of iPhone, the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun said the suspects were picked on August 2, 2020, at about 2100hrs, based on credible information.
It was learnt that the Police Operatives attached to Maitumbi Division arrested the suspects who allegedly raped and fingered four of their female Islamiya students whose age ranges between 6 -11years old.
Police revealed that the girls were called from the study ground to the suspects’ room for the sexual act, a crime the suspects have confessed to have committed.
In another development, the police says that was on August 6, 2020, about 1800hrs, Police Intelligence Operatives on surveillance at Obasanjo Shopping Complex Minna, arrested four suspects for stealing an iPhone valued at N185,000.
The suspects whose names were given as Mustapha Mohammed, 19, Suleiman Mohammed, 19, Sadiq Yusuf, 20, and Nasiru Mohammed, 20, and all resident in London Street, Dutsen-Kura Minna, conspired and entered a shop within the complex in the guise of buying an iPhone valued N185,000.00k.
“In the process, the attendant’s attention was diverted by one of the suspects pretending to be buying an earpiece while Mustapha Mohammed picked an iPhone and hid it in his pant,” police revealed.
However, the iPhone was later recovered and the suspects would soon be arraigned in court for conspiracy and stealing.

It was gathered that the suspect was arrested while riding an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, and was found to be in possession of one barreta pistol with 14 rounds of live ammunitions.
The suspect was, however, shot dead while attempting to escape into the forest. Other exhibit recovered from the criminal was a techno handset with two sim cards.
However, ASP Wasiu Abiodun enjoins members of the public to be more careful and be vigilant while carrying out any transaction, in and around the Shopping Complex.
He also called on Parents/Guardian to know the status of the handlers of Islamiya Schools before entrusting their wards to such School.
