The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi on February 13, 2014, had an audience with the wife of the governor of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Nwifuru and the First Daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Iyaloja General, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo in his office in Abuja.
According to the Special Adviser (Media) to the Honourable Minister of Works, Umahi while speaking during the meeting, stated that “women play a great role in nation-building”, adding that “a nation cannot progress without the active participation of women. Women have proven that they are the most essential and the most critical pillar of our nation. They are simply the strength and power of a successful and progressive society. Our support to the cause of the women is unwavering.”
