Vice President Yemi Osinbajo did not involve in an auto crash along the Airport Road on Monday morning in Abuja.
Earlier reports have linked Vice President as involved in an accident and that his security aides were trying to pull him out of the car.
The news reports had claimed that Mr. Osinbajo’s security aides and rescuers are trying to pull him from the vehicle.
The car was said to have summersaulted several times before landing and immediately clear the severity of the accident on the Nigerian leader.
It was gathered that he was on his way to Ondo for a condolence visit following the massacre of Catholic worshippers on Sunday morning, according to his office.
But in his Twitter handle, the Media Aide to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, said the report was false.
According to Akande, the Vice President wasn’t involved in the crash but that he only stopped by to help a victim, adding that the Vice president is heading to the scene of the incident having arrived in the sunshine state.
“On his way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, and ensured the victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance.
“He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to the site of yesterday’s attack in Owo,” the Media Aide to the Vice President tweeted.
