The new Passport Control Officer (PCO) Ikoyi Passport Office of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Deputy Comptroller of Immigration, DCI Abolupe Bewaji has promised to ensure quality and efficient service delivery to any applicant for the international passport.
He gave the assurance in her office during her first meeting with a cross-section of the media on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
According to her, henceforth applicants will be attended to on a first-come, first-serve basis, adding that all passports renewal would now take three weeks while fresh applications will take six weeks to process.
She urged all applicants to ensure that details on their documents used to process the passport correspond with their NIN before embarking on passport processing.
Bewaji, however, thanked the management of Access Bank for the recent donation of 100KVA generator to the Ikoyi Passport office which would go a long way in hastening their job.
Those in attendance at the briefing included the Second in Command, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) Malami Tsamiya and other senior officers.
