WESTERN NAVAL COMMAND BOOST PERSONNEL’S TECHNICAL Proficiency

… ORGANIZED 2025 FIRST QUARTER COMMUNICATION TRAINING WORKSHOP

Determined to improve personnel technical proficiency and communication, the Western Naval Command (WNC), Nigerian Navy, Apapa under the Command of Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Rear Admiral MG Oamen, has organised its 2025 First Quarter Communication Training Workshop in Lagos.

The three-day workshop, which began on 23 January, 2025, was designed to enhance personnel’s technical proficiency in areas such as voice procedures, message handling, flashing, semaphore, and other communication exercises.

The communication training workshop for the year is being held at the WNC Officers’ Mess, Apapa, Lagos State.

During the opening ceremony, the Special Guest of Honour (SGOH), Commodore AO Ojebode, commended the planning committee led by the Commanding Officer Nigerian Navy Ship KADA, Captain A Zidon for their efforts in organising the event.

He encouraged participants to actively engage in the workshop, emphasising that it would significantly enhance their professional skills and contribute to a successful career in the Nigerian Navy.
