ARMY TO CONDUCT BATTLE SIMULATION EXERCISE

Nigerian Army Headquarters Garrison, Abuja is set to carry out a two-day Battle Simulation Exercise as part of its scheduled activities for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023.

The exercise will commence on Tuesday, 24th October, and ends on Wednesday, 25th October 2023 at 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course Lungi Barracks, Maitama, Abuja.

In a statement signed by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Njideka Clara Agwu said that the Exercise would involve real-time battlefield simulations and activities.

As such, large battle sounds would be heard during the exercise which is in line with the training exercise.

Consequently, she reiterated that members of the general public especially those residing around Maitama, Asokoro, AYA, and the environs are not to panic but go about their normal respective businesses as the battle sounds would not raise any security concerns.

In addition, Lt Col Agwu added that every necessary safety measure has been put in place to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
