Newly decorated seniors officers of the Nigerian Army serving under Training and Doctrine Command, Minna (TRADOC), have been urged to live up to expectations and justify the responsibility of their new status.
The Commandant, TRADOC, Maj. Gen. Lucky Irabor who decorated the officers with their new rank badges on Monday in his office, congratulated the beneficiaries and wished them more promotion in their career.
He thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai for finding the promoted officers worthy of their elevations.
Among the promoted officers to a Brigadier General, and who is the Deputy Chief of Staff, Grade 1 (DCOS ), Colonel Ibikunle Ademola Ajose, expressed joy and thanked God for the promotion.
Other elevated officers are Colonel Mohammed Usman, who is also now a Brigadier General, while Major Milton Tariowei Yalah was also decorated with his new rank badge of a Lieutenant Colonel. However, the Deputy Director Army Public Relations (DDAPR) of TRADOC, Major Kamarudeen Adegoke, who also got promoted to a Lieutenant Colonel could not be decorated because he is presently on course in Lagos.
It would be recalled that Army Council had last week approved the promotion of 39 Brigadiers General to Major Generals, 97 Colonels to Brigadiers General, while 104 Lieutenant Colonels were moved to their next rank of a Colonel. Also, 177 Majors were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonels.
