Three weeks after 17 soldiers, including a Commanding Officer, were brutally murdered at Okuama Community in Delta state, an Army Lieutenant has been killed in an ambush with terrorists.

The Defence Headquarters on Sunday disclosed the killing while four other personnel were wounded during a terrorist’s ambush on its personnel.

The ambush took place along Road Buratai – Buni Gari on Friday, April 5.

Confirming the killing in a statement by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, said the wounded personnel are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

However, during the ambush, six of the terrorists were killed during the bloody encounter after a serious gun battle with the troops of Operation Hadin Kai.

He, however, said troops are on the trail of the remaining terrorists who laid ambush for them.
