Newly graduated recruits of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been admonished to put the interest of the Corps and the Nation above other considerations and be professional in the discharge of their duties in consonance with extant laws.
The Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi gave the admonition during their Passing Out Parade held at the State Command Headquarters Awka, Anambra State after three months of compulsory basic training.
He was represented by the Deputy Commandant Mercy Duru who stood in for Assistant Commandant General, Felix Oke, the Zonal Commander, Zone K, Awka Anambra State.
He congratulated the newly recruited personnel on the successful completion of basic three months in house training and enjoined them to perform their duties with dedication and commitment.
The ACG profusely appreciated the standard of the Parade and the diligent efforts put in by trainees and the team of instructors in shaping and molding the recruits into physically tough and mentally strong personnel.
“It is amazing to see our recruits conclude this basic three months training. I am impressed by the enthusiasm and effort they have shown throughout the training. They have all worked tremendously hard to acquire basic knowledge and relevant skills.
Earlier in his address, the State Commandant of NSCDC Anambra State Command, Mr. Everestus C Obiyo used the occasion to thank the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and his management team for providing the necessary assistance throughout the training period.
He complimented the trainee for their immaculate turnout, precise drill movements, and high standard of the parade and conveyed his best wishes to them saying that the experience, knowledge, and skills they bring with them will be invaluable to the Corps.
