The Lagos State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CC Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, has applauded the outstanding performance of four grandaunts from the State Command at the Staff College, Lamingo, Jos, Plateau State.

Commandant Alfadarai, while presenting the certificates to the officers at the State Command Headquarters, after the successful completion of their Staff Course 01/2023, said the Command is very proud of their various outstanding performances throughout their course of study.

The four graduands are Superintendent of Corps, Wasiu Lawal, Deputy Superintendents of Corps, Oluwaseun Abolurin, Abdulsalam Oluwatoyin and Assistant Superintendent of Corps, Idowu Christiana Omotayo.

It would be recalled that Deputy Superintendent of Corps, Oluwaseun Abolurin, emerged as the overall best-performing participant of the aforementioned course and won the overall best prize of the Commandant General, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

Addressing the management and staff of the Command, Commandant Alfadarai, charged, all officers and men, to be good ambassadors of the command anywhere they find themselves and keep the flag of the Corps flying.

He noted that the Corps started in Lagos in 1967, which is about 56 years ago, making the Command to be well-experienced and better positioned, to give its best at any given time when duty calls.

He urged the personnel of the command to always uphold the legacy and standard set by the PRO at the College and strive not to let the Command down in future endeavors.

In the same vein, Commandant Alfadarai unveiled, the new operational vehicle dedicated to the Safe School project, which was aimed at complementing the efforts of the Commandant General, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, in ensuring emergency response against criminal elements, who have decided to cause distress and uncertainty in the nation’s schools, and other educational institutions in the country.

He explained that the Rapid Response Squad was also set up and trained to contend, with emerging security threats in the communities in a bid to bring security close to the people and to ensure that there is peace and tranquility in Lagos State.
